CLIN family products such as ARCOR® and TUFFTRIDE® Q are thermochemical treatments which combines salt bath nitriding with a passivation stage in an oxidizing bath to impart all the benefits of a nitrided surface such as improved wear, fatigue and anti-seizure properties, with significantly improved corrosion resistance. The process produces an aesthetically pleasing black surface finish which can be further enhanced using the PC (QPQ) process derivatives to meet low surface roughness requirements.

Treating ferrous materials (steel, cast iron, stainless steel, Inconel) at temperatures typically between 540°C and 580°C and treatment times between 30 and 210 minutes.
